I'm back after a prolonged absence and I'm trying to catch up with all the accumulated deviations and the many messages I had not had a chance to respond to. Patience is virtue...I'll try to get back to each one of you eventually.

Meantime this message will also serve to clear my previous journal entry (from last August) as it was beginning to look pretty dated.

I'm back from my vacation/exile and have about 1,400 deviations and about 150+ messages to sift through. A quick note of gratitude to those who were kind enough to leave notes and comments during my absence and apologies if I'm not able to get back to you personally for a while ...

A belated happy and artistically fruitful new year to all!

Today marks the one-year point since I joined dA, and I've got to confess that it's been quite a trip.
I really appreciate the fact that the site gives people, at all levels of creativity and skill, the opportunity to share their vision without any real constraints and get immediate feedback: from high praise to total indifference.

Luckily, this is also the day that I'm preparing to go away for a couple of weeks on a long-overdue vacation. I have a feeling that I won't be able to check my dA account during this time but, don't fret, I'll be back soon enough...
